Officially “Creative Chemistry 101” Graduate

THCC101_graduate

Howdy Candies…I’m an Official Graduate of Creative Chemistry 101!  Can you hear the music?  I’m doing the Happy Dance.  Seriously, no words can truly express the joy, pleasure, uhm…just about every adjective I could utilize in a thesaurus right at this moment couldn’t do any justice to what this journey has taught me.  Along the way I’ve met some absolutely phenomenal artists some may call them crafters but I personally call them Artists because every person that enters this class, once completed has learned to bring out their inner artistry.  I know I’ve posted so many things about “Creative Chemistry” along this journey but what I haven’t shared is a creation that I’ve learned to incorporate what I own with what I have learned.  At least not in the manner that could only demonstrate my sentiments to you my readers what I’ve gained through this process.  I highly encourage if you have not started or taken the class, the live portion ends in T-minus 3 days at midnight on Monday…however, You can register anytime & get the same education We have just by clicking my Graduate Badge above.  So without further ado….Yep you guessed it PHOTOS: (To leave a comment, feedback or thought all you have to do is click the title to this post & scroll down to the bottom)

My Sneaky Peak of today’s creation combining a message with learned techniques using a new surface (kraft glassine paper):

This is a photo of the supplies I used & I can not share all of the ‘chemistry’ of it because I would LOVE for you to join the class to join the journey…:

My Birdie Card using CTMH “Find You’re Style” stamp set & Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous “Something to Say” set I absolutely am in LOVE with the results.  I used several techniques learned with the new surface that included texture fades, Tim’s cool sanding tool, water coloring, & well using some of my Lindy’s mica powders too!:

BirdieCard

Here is the Inside of the card; I used Bamboo Textured Cardstock from CTMH (retired) & Regular CTMH Cardstock “Smokey Plum”:

Here is a tag I played around with yesterday using my favorite technique “Rusted Enamel” it was inspired by the shirt my Hubby wore the day before & admittedly I had not tried my “Chipped Sapphire” Distress Ink Pad yet; Looks pretty cool & you can’t see the saying very well but that is all apart of learning the ‘chemistry’ of what I’m using when I create the saying is “"What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it." I thought it rather fitting:

& of course here is a photo of all the tags I did, just a reflection of all the work I’ve done over the past 2 1/2 weeks & references for me to gander upon when I create like I did with my Birdie card:

I truly have learned more in the last couple of weeks then I ever thought before & truly sharing these pictures show you that when I’m creating now I feel like I’m creating with a purpose & finding inspiration everywhere.  Yes indeedy…a shirt, a thought, a jot, & more…It truly doesn’t take much if you open your heart & mind as Tim told me during the class forums “Surround yourself with things that Inspire You” plus he answered a question I had in where do I find nostalgia? Well suffice to say his best advice ever is that there are treasures all over just waiting to be discovered & part of the journey is the “hunt”.  So treat yourself to an old book store, garage sale, antique store, the local stores that have findings just waiting for a new home.  Anything can be altered & transformed it is certainly apart of the process of embracing the imperfections in life.  Thanks for Stamping By…
